What Causes Urgency For Urination With Increased Frequency After Placing A Stent?
Question: Hello,
I've had a stent for over seven weeks and have lost complete control of my bladder function. I'm wearing pads and diapers because I will start peeing (without warning)and I cannot stop or control the flow. Very embarrassing and uncomfortable. What's going on?

You have urgency for urination with frequency for urination after putting a stent .
I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Where is the stent placed in whether it is in ureter or coronary vessels for heart problems ?
2) If it is in ureter What was the reason for putting a stent in ureter ?
If the stent is in ureter the cause of urgency for urination is due to irritation of most sensitive area of bladder called Trigone by lower end of stent .
You can take bladder antispasmodics like Oxybutinine twice daily or Darifenacin once daily .once daily .
Your symptoms will go away after removing stent in placed in ureter ..
