What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Having I Pill?
Question: hi sir i had sex with my gf wen she was in third day of periods within 2 hrs she took a ipill ,
after a 1week there was a bleeding ,but there is no regular period after a month

Hi XXXXXX, I have gone through your question. It is highly unlikely that conception occurs if you both had intercourse on her third day of her regular periods as ovulation occurs much later in the cycle (on approximately 14 th day of the periods). Bleeding after taking emergency contraceptive pill usually does occurs within 1 week as you have mentioned occured in her case,which means the pill was effective.
Sometimes, the next regular period is delayed by 7-10 days after taking the emergency contraceptive pill. This is a known side-effect.
I would suggest her to get a urine pregnancy test at home. If it is positive, then do consult an OBGYN specialist if you decide for termination of pregnancy.
If the test is negative, then do wait for 7-10 days after the expected date of periods for the spontaneous periods to occur.
