What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Taking I Pill?

Question: Hi Doctor,

I had my period end on Wednusday. Had taken a birth control ipill on thrusday (since me and my guy wanted to rule out pregnancy). On tuesday I am experiencing vaginal bleeding. What could it be? I am very scared

Thanks for you reply doctor. However, since yesterday night I have observed that the bleeding is not stopping and it looks as if Periods have triggered again. Flow is very similar to normal periods and I am having mild cramps as well (these cramps come during my periods) Can you tell me if this bleeding is Periods or something else? Also, I there any chance of conceiving in this case? What will be the probability of my next cycle to be on time.
