Question: Hiii doctor,
We had intercourse on 30th april. No penetration and no ejacuation. Within 4 hours she took ipill. She had abdomunal pain and after 7 days of taking ipill, she has bleeding and our beta HCG test is also negative.
So, is it withdrawl bleeding?
When can we expect her periods? Will they be delayed. Her last periods were on april21st.

Brief Answer:
Yes,it is most likely a withdrawal bleeding.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
It could be due to withdrawal bleeding caused by side effects of i-pill.
It could be due to hormonal imbalance because i-pill contains high doses of hormone in it.
Your period may get delayed by 7-10 days from your expected period date.
Hope found useful, feel free to ask more information.
Good luck.

Hi Doctor,

She took ipill two times once on march 25th and april 30th. She is getting lower abdominal pain. Since, ipill has high dose of harmones, will it have any long term side effects and damage to her reproductive system.
She is very tensed about this. How XXXXXXX days that abdominal pain persists.

Brief Answer:
It may cause hormonal disturbances.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for the information.
Yes,it is not good to take i-pill twice in a month.
It may cause hormonal imbalance and menstrual irregularities.
But usually long term side effects are not indicated with i-pill.( it is usually a safe drug but frequent use should be avoided)
Hope found useful.
Good luck .
