What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Taking Oral Contraceptive Pills?
Question: I started to take the XXXXXXX pill three days ago. I was not due on till 28th April, but feel like I may be coming on early. Is this normal? Will taking the XXXXXXX pill far into your cycle bring you on your period quicker?
If this is right, can I take norethisterone tablets now and prevent myself from coming on? I don't know what to do as I travel to see my boyfriend this thursday :0(
what is the best course of action? Will the XXXXXXX pill normally make people come on their period earlier when 1st starting? Should I take norethisterone starting now to be on the safe side?

I read your question and i understand your concern. XXXXXXX pill like any other progesterone pill makes the body mor eprone to breakthrough bleeding and is nothing to worry about. Yes XXXXXXX pill may cause breakthrough bleed and if that bleed shows up in a week , menses comes later on as well and may get delayed , if the bleed comes a week after use of XXXXXXX pill, the breakthrough bleed works as period.
Also cycle may vary from 21 days to 35 days. No worries in any case. Its body adjusting to new hormonal balance and should not be a concern. If you want to stop periods for visiting partner, you may skip the periods or breakthrough bleed with any estrogen contraceptive pill. Or leave it as it is, it may even stop on its own before thursday. Both choices are good.
