What Causes Vaginal Bleeding And Stomach Cramps Post Child Delivery?
Hi, please do not worry!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
Sometimes bleeding may last longer upto 6-8 weeks after vaginal delivery and cramp is due to prolonged labour and incorrect posture during labour and breast feeding.
Are you still having fever?
If you are having fever more then 100 then there are chances of infection in uterus and you should consult your treating doctor and get your examination done to see for infection sites and to see whether uterus is well contracted or not.
Investigation done like vaginal swab and urine culture to rule out the cause of infection.
In my opinion in your case you should wait and watch for at least one to two weeks without any intervention if you are afebrile.
Drink a lot of water.
Eat healthy diet and eat green leafy vegetables.
Breastfeed your baby.
Take appropriate rest.
If having severe pain then take some pain killer.
Take iron and calcium upto 3 months.
Please avoid D&C after delivery it may increase the chances of infection.
I think I have answered your query if you have further questions I will be happy to help you.
Good luck.

and ultrasound report from 2 days ago states that the uterus lining is thickened but not evenly suggesting a possible piece of something left behind...
Hi, nice to see you.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Nice to see you again.
Yes! in my opinion these pain are normal.
These pains are because of involution of uterus after birth of baby.
When you feed your baby then you feel more pain.
Some women feel more pain.
You can use warm packs, uterine massage and ibuprofen after consulting your treating doctor.
So please do not worry! it may resolve in some time.
Good luck.
