What Causes Vaginal Bleeding In Post Menopausal Woman?

I am 60 years old and have found light blood when I wipe. Not too often but noticed it again today. What would cause that?
Please, see your OBGYN!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
All blood reported by a post menopausal woman is considered pathological until proven otherwise. This needs a full gynecological exam and may be testing if examination suggests so. The causes are numerous. Some are concerning (infections, cancers, etc) and others are not(vaginal atrophy). This conclusion can only be made after a comprehensive clinical exam and testing. I strongly recommend that you see an OBGYN at your earliest convenience to get this looked into. It would likely not be too concerning but, I like that reassurance rather than an imaginative conclusion on this.
In all, all blood reported by a post-menopausal woman is considered concerning and needs to be addressed. I strongly recommend you talk to your OBGYN about this.
I hope this helps. I wish you well and thank you so much for using our services. Feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be.
