What Causes Vaginal Discomfort Post Unprotected Sex?

Question: Hi I had sex with my new girlfriend twice now. Once one week ago today on Wednesday Dec 2nd (protected) the 2nd time was Saturday morning (2 mins unprotected) then put a condom on. On Tuesday Dec 9th I woke with 2 sores on the underside of my penis. She has been complaining of vaginal discomfort since Saturday. Neither of us has ever had symptom to be concerned of. It is not clear about partner history, any body has multiple partners, any herpes history,or any other disease history.
I could make out 2 erosions on erythematous area.
It may be due to friction or herpes if grouped vesicles ( water filled lesions ) are present or erupt.
You both may need consultation of doctor for examination, investigation, and treatment , as both have symptoms.

I have gone through 3 photos. I can see some more tiny vesicles. It appears to be due to herpes if you have burning or itching or pain..
You can watch if more lesion erupt .
It is better you get tested for herpes and other STDs for confirmation .Both can get tested to relieve anxiety.

I went to the Dr yesterday and got a culture test. This test was done at two places. The local clinic and the Public Health Clinic as I wanted some reassurance with the culture test. My girlfriend is in today for her go around on the testing. They did give me Valtrex for a just in case, they wanted to me to start treatment so that if it is it would lesson the pain/irritation. I have yet to have pain or irritation minus when the did the scrape, but then again I get the same feeling when iodine is rubbed on my arm before donating plasma. I will keep up to date as the culture test results come in.
