What Causes Vaginal Soreness After Sex?

Question: girlfriend has vaginal soreness after we had sex last night. what are some remedies she can try before seeing a doctor?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
It is likely that after sex there may have been frictional injuries to the vaginal wall during intercourse which may be causing the soreness at present. Ideally there is no treatment required for the same as it heals on its own naturally.
If the soreness is much then she can try light apple vinegar washes twice a day which shall help in early healing .

she says vinegar wash makes it worse. is there another alternative?

In that case there are VAGISIL lotion and cream available , which when applied locally inside vagina can soothe the soreness.
or
ESTRIOL vaginal crem is available which when applied once can help soothe as well.
