What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Menstruation?

Period changes in times of high stress, dieting and excessive exercising.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
It is very common for a woman to have changes of her menstruation once in a while, especially in your age. The hormonal levels in you are very changeable in times of stress, dieting, excessive exercising, ect. Once these things return to normal, your menstruation will return to normal.
So, I want to reassure you that it is nothing to be terrified about.
It should not last more then 15 days.
Your next menstrual period will be irregular too, most probably.
If the spotting changes into bleeding, and doesn't get better in 15 days, I would recommend seeing a local doctor who can do a gynecological exam and further testing if needed. But I am very confident that this will not be needed and you will be fine most probably.
Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.
Regards,
Dr. Papaqako

The "normal" spotting should not get worse or last more then 15 days.

Hello,
Thank you for the follow up question.
Yes, but I don't think it will last more then 15 days. So in this case it means that it is just a hormonal disbalance that will settle down by itself.
If your doctor is a GP, he should be able to do himself a gynecological exam. But it depends on the country where you live too. So go to see your GP and he will surely know if to refer you to a gynecologist, if you need other testing or if he can do himself the exam and have an idea of what you have. If you don't feel comfortable because he is a male doctor, then you can ask him to be seen by a female doctor.
But again, hopefully this is nothing and the spotting will stop in the few days.
Kind regards,
Dr. Papaqako
