What Causes Vertigo Along With Numbness On One Side Of Jaw Area?

I am 32 years old. I have suffered on and off from anxiety and feel like I have had almost every possible symptom at different times. I had a scare with my dads health in November (everything is fine now) but since then I have had pretty consistent anxiety. I did a bunch of heart tests and everything came back perfect and I was feeling good for a bit. For the last few weeks though I have had some issues. Lightheadiness and one episode of vertigo. Also, the last few days, the middle left part of my tongue has been numb sometimes throughout the day and had one or two short periods where my left jaw went a little numb for a bit. Any thoughts?
I should note I have had slightly swollen lymph nodes in my groin which I did an ultra sound with a met with a specialist who say there was nothing to worry about. Lastly, I did some bloodwork last month and my doctor asked me to do it again in a month. Not sure exactly why but it has to do with my blood.
Any advice/comments would help!
I am not overly concerned.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing through HCM.
I have read your query and understood your concerns.
Anxiety can present in form of variety of symptoms. Numbness and vertigo, feeling of impeding doom and going crazy are common findings. If a person has chronic stress or conflict then it can be present with mild anxiety symptoms. This is similar to what you are experiencing now. Numbness is common symptoms of anxiety.
If your blood work and heart tests are normal then nothing to worry. it is mild anxiety and it may wean off with time. If the anxiety increases and becomes severe then you need to consult a psychiatrist and take proper treatment. Drugs like antidepressant and anxiolytics will help and make you symptoms free within 2 months.
Go for the blood tests asked for follow up by your doctor. Because there are no other serious neurological symptoms, you do not have any neurological illness and it is simple anxiety.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have further question then I shall be happy to help. Wish you good health.
