Brief Answer:
Imaging studies and ENT consult.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Nasopharyngeal polyps may predispose to sinusitis, due to impaired secretions and air flow between sinuses and middle ear.

Sinusitis is an infection, so, it may spread.

To evaluate any middle ear infection and the number of sinuses involved, imaging studies such head CT scan or MRI are necessary.

It is necessary also to get evaluated by an ENT Doctor in order to get proper treatment.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards.
