What Causes Vesicoureteral Reflux In A Child?
Question: A 4 year female old girl suffering from recurrent Urinary tract infection with Vesicoureteral Reflux. kindly suggest the cause for Vesicoureteral Reflux, whether its congenital or not

As an Urologist,i can understand your concern.
There's no doubt,this is a case of congenital VUR.(reflux).
At this age,you don't need to think of other causes.
The scan only shows the severity of the reflux.
Next time,for follow-up,do only an isotope cystogram scan,as less radiation is there.Even a CT cystogram has less radiation than a X-ray.
It's far less than a x-ray film.
