What Causes Vibrations In Neck While Talking?
Question: When someone hugged me today their shoulder connected with my neck. I could feel the pressure on and even movement of something in the front of my neck in the left side. The area is still bothering me. There is no pain in swallowing or talking but there appears to be a vibration in my voice that is not usually there. Should I be concerned? See a doctor? Take something? Or ignore it? Thanks.
Brief Answer:
It is not serious
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think it is not serious. Most probably it is transient pressure on nerves. I would suggest you to observe these symptoms . if there is increase in symptoms than you can get a ultrasound of the neck.
Till that time nothing needs to be done. I would also recommend you to take Methylcobal tablet for one month after discussing with your doctor.
I hope this answer will be helpful for you. Let me know if you want to ask any other questions.
Thanks

Wanted to follow up just to be sure i shouldn't be concerned yet. I noted originally that i felt something move when it happened. I should hace noted that it almost felt like something being pushed in. Also other people are noting the vibration when i speak so there is definitely a vibration there. Just want to be sure this does not change your answer. Thanks.
Brief Answer:
It can be arterial pulse which is felt like pulsation
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that those vibration can be due to arterial pulsation which are felt by other persons as vibration. So you can follow my advise and wait for some time.
If there is increase in these sensation than you can get ultrasound examination to confirm the diagnosis.
Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
