What Causes Visible Pulsating Vein In Neck, Breathlessness And Hot And Cold Flashes?

Question: Hi i am 19 years old. Earlier a vein in my neck on my right hand side. Was sore and seemed like it was pumping harder. My fingers and feet would alternate from being hot andclammy or cold and little tingly. Also had shortness of breath, my cheat was tight and it seemed like there was a lot of pressure in my nose/ sinus's and head. I've had an ekg done about 4 or 5 years ago and it was perfect. What could it be and what should i do?

I have gone through your query.

I would like to know since when you are facing this problem? Is your neck veins are distended or not? Do you have coughing? Do you have any swelling of the lower limb.

In some people however, these veins a visibly vibrating, but really have no associated health abnormality. If you have not been used to observing, this might seem abnormal.

I will suggest a chest X ray and a ECG and ECHO, to exclude the commonest cause of these pumping veins, which most of the time is of cardiac origin.
I would suggest you see doctor and get a complete clinical review, past medical and family history with the investigation mentioned to rule out any cardiac cause.

If you have stress or anxiety, it can also present with similar symptom, this also need to be addressed.
