What Causes Visible Veins On Skin Of An Infant?

Question: hello,
My 1 month old baby gets lacy pattern spots on his skin. I can send you a picture of his skin for you to see but it looks like his veins are all showing through skin. It happens mostly when the temperature changes, I think. Please let me know if there is a way I can send you a picture of his skin. Its not always there but it comes and goes. I am very worried and wont be able to see his doctor right away. Please advice and let me know if this happens in newborn babies.
Thank you in advance for your help

Brief Answer:
Status marmoratus - it’s physiological
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX ... What you quote is fitting exactly into the text book description of status marmoratus. This is a physiological reaction of skin to changes in ambient temperature. You are very intelligent to correlate both without prior information that they are related.
You have already uploaded an image for me. I have seen it and strongly feel that it is status marmoratus and moreover it is intermittent. Nothing to worry.
If the kid is feeding well and as active as ever otherwise, you need not worry.
