Hi there,
I have gone through your medical history and feel sorry for the situation you are in.
Getting blind is not reported as side effect of any drug. Usually, blindness is related to underlying conditions that could damage eyesight, or eye blood vessels or nerves.
At this point, can you please provide more details on your current health conditions and upload the reports of the tests you did. All this additional information would help me provide more specific clarifications.
Thank you

GOING BLIND IS A SIDE EFFECT OF SOME DRUGS. IN THIS CASE, METRODONIZOLE (FLAGYL), CAUSES NERVE DAMAGE IN SOME PEOPLE. FUNNY SOMETHING I HAVE KNOW FROM THE LATE 80"S, MOSTLY XXXXXXX GUYS IN NEW YORK. ALSO SOME CHEMO CAN CAUSE BLINDNESS. NOT BLACKOUT BLINDNESS, BUT LOSS OF VISION. JUST WANTED TO KNOW HOW RARE? 1 IN 10,000, OR MORE LIKE 1 IN A MILLION?
Brief Answer:
No exact frequency reported...

Hi back,
Thank you for following up.
It is true that all medications have their side effect, including Metronidazole. However, such side effects have been reported in long term use (more than 1 or 2 months).
With regards to chemo medications, they are also associated with severe side effects, because they weaken body's immune defense to succeed in killing abnormal cells.
Regarding the statistics, studies are not conclusive in giving exact statistical data. It is only reported as rare side effects with no exact frequency reported.
Hope it answered to your queries! Take care!
