default
Posted on Sat, 3 May 2014
Question: My son has been coughing at night lately for the past few nights, and on two separate occasions had vomited as well. He barely coughs during the day, but has been coughing frequently while he sleeps. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer: get him clinically examined. Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for writing your query. After reading your post, I would advise that you should get him clinically examined. In small children, vomiting is common after severe bouts of cough. He can be given antihistamine under medical supervision only. If auscultation of chest reveals broncho constriction, bronchodilator will be helpful. I would again advise that you should get him clinically examined. I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help. Thanks.
