Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
Vomiting in this age in the absence of fever, not to frequent and aggravated by food intake is most commonly due to gastritis.
The average weight of baby of this age is around 10-12 kg.You have mentioned that you are giving domperidone syrup(comes in a strength of 5 mg/5ml).I would like to know the dose which you are giving. The dose for this age will be 2.5-3.5 ml(0.25-0.35 mg/kg/dose) three times a day half an hour before feed.
So please check the dose if it is adequate or not.
I would like to give some acid reducing agent like Syrup Ranitidine or esomeprazole XXXXXXX The dose of syrup ranitidine will be 2.5 ml twice a day before meal and that of esomeprazole XXXXXXX is 1 XXXXXXX twice a day before meal. Please get it prescribed by a physician as this is a prescription medicine.
Apart from this avoid spicy, fatty, junk food.
I hope this helps.
If vomiting increases or other symptoms like headache, fever appears please consult you physician for detailed evaluation.
Please do ask if you have any more doubts.
