What Causes Vomiting After Taking Powdered Form Of Antibiotic?
Some information:
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
I am sorry you had that experience. Apparently that particular form of antibiotic was irritating to your stomach or made you gag. Since you threw up immediately after taking it, there won't be enough medicine that got to your small intestines where it is absorbed, and so you still need an antibiotic.
A one dose preparation can be rather strong, so you might do better with one that you take over several days instead. It might be easier on you.
So the thing to do now is to call your doctor's office tomorrow, tell the nurse what happened, and ask for an alternative to the one dose powder as you don't tolerate it well.
I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information or clarification.
Your welcome!
