What Causes Vomiting And Difficulty In Swallowing?
Information
Detailed Answer:
Hello -
I am sorry to hear this.
Here are a few thoughts:
It sounds as though it's not obstructing your esophagus (food pipe) in which case I have some specific suggestions. And it also sounds like it is not interfering with your breathing.
So, it may irritation and inflammation that was caused by stomach acid and food that came up rathe than something actually still stuck there. Do you agree, or does it really feel like there is something there obstructing when the food you eat goes down?
If it is from inflammation, I recommend taking a liquid antacid such as Maalox or Mylanta to help coat and soothe the throat (and neutralize stomach acid).
I am concerned that your fall was so hard that it made you vomit. Did you hit your head and lose consciousness? Have you been evaluated for a concussion?

If you actually feel as though there is something caught, and it is still there, here are a few suggestions:
1. Drink water frequently. Very warm (but not burning hot) water may help dissolve it or wash it down.
2. Eat a small amount of bread. Chew it for a long time to saturate it with saliva first, before swallowing it. You can also try sticky type of rice too.
3. Some doctors recommend Coca Cola (Coke). It's not clear how that works, but often it helps.
Most things will dissolve on their own, but if this continues, then you should go in to have it looked at.
