gestational hypertension ....daily bp monitoring must

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
As you are already 37 weeks pregnant and a smoker with gestational hypertension, you need to stop smoking till delivery as nicotine can be transferred across placenta and also promote further increase in blood pressures. In third trimester now it is all the more necessary to watch and monitor your daily pressures as there are various known complications known for gestational hypertension with increased swelling in body and feet , proteinuria leading to pre-eclampsia. iDEALLY A A DIAGNOSED CASE OF GESTATIONAL HYPERTENSION SHOULD BE DELIVERED BY INDUCTION OF labour by 38-39 weeks to avoid any obstetric complications. As you are already 37 weeks, and if not preeclamptic then your pregnancy should be continued for a week or two more an not till 40 weeks.
There are chances of nicotine withdrawal in the child after delivery and may have some respiratory issues , so a well set NICU set up should be available at the place of delivery,
Regards

Detailed Answer:
well, you can stop smoking firstly and then increase your daily water intake to 4-5 litres which shall help circulation and help remove free radicals sooner. But the blood pressure has to be monitored diligently twice a day hence forth.
Any discrepancy in blood pressure should be reported to your physician at the earliest. Regards

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If you are already taking 4-6 bottles a day and having sufficient urination then you are doing your bit and it would be enough. No extra supplements are required at the moment. Just stop smoking and have a healthy diet in smaller meals consisting more of legumes , salads to help prevent constipation as well.
Increased frequency in the third trimester is natural as the growing uterus presses over the bladder and hence decreasing its capacity leading to frequent smaller urinations, which is normal. So just stay alert on your BP readings and rest you seem to be doing fine,
