What Causes Vomiting And Loose Stools In A 3 Year Old Child?

Food indigestion or Viral Gastroenteritis
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concerns but don't worry. The most likely reason for these symptoms is an episode of viral gastroenteritis. You may give him oral rehydration therapy such as soups, buttermilk, ORS etc. to maintain hydration. Antiemetic along with antacids such as Domperidone and Ranitidine will be useful in repeated vomiting episodes if present.
There is also a possibility of food poisoning leading to such self limiting episodes. The above therapy will be useful in it as well.
Most kids improve within a few days. Ensure healthy, balanced and hygeinic diet along with good hydration.
Hopefully it will be of help. I would be happy to help you in any further child health related questions.

Ensure good hand wash
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Most viral gastroenteritis in toddlers are self limiting. He will benefit from the therapy which I suggested.
Adults are usually immune to these infections. The best way to avoid any secondary transmission is a good hand wash by patient and family members after use of toilets and before food intake.
