I took hydro codeine and it went away. I went to the obgyn last Friday and I still had the uti and she gave me microbids I've been taking that and I got that same severe pain tonight after I went for a walk. It gets to the point where I can't sit stand or lay down I can't lift my right leg cause it hurts I took the hydro codeine . What is going on?

Brief Answer:
UTI with right side pain

Detailed Answer:

Hi XXXXXXX XXXXXXX

UTi generally will present as burning sensation while passing urine and fever.

Pain rt side and vomiting can be feature of renal stone disease. Renal stone disease is a risk factor for urine infection. Some people are sensitive to sulfa medicines. You took tmp-smx , that is a sulpha medicine. avoid this in future.

You have to Meet your doctor and discuss these problems with him.

You have to go for urine routine examination to see pus cells. you can consider tab cefixime or levofloxacin for urine infection. You should get an ultrasound of the kidneys to rule out kidney stones and see for kidney size and echotexture. I dont feel anything serious will be there. Situation will improve with above steps.

There are other causes of right side pain also which can be differentiated by clinical examination. these can be from intestines, gynecological problems and musculoskeletal causes.

Best wishes. In case any further query please write in.
