Thanks for asking on Healthcaremagic.
I am sorry to know that XXXXXXX has been vomiting. But could you please specify how long has this vomiting going on? If it is for just a few days, I would consider the possibility of a simple gastrointestinal infection. Usually the body can take care of such infections in a few days and all you have to do is to replenish for the lost salts and water by giving adequate amounts of ORS (oral rehydration solution). But if it has been going on for sometime, he needs a proper clinical evaluation. In such a case you need to take him to a doctor. However, the ORS still needs to be given.
The other medicines are proper. However, 1 ml of Calshine Drops should be sufficient.

Maintaining hydration is the mainstay of treatment.

Thanks for writing back.
In that case I would not worry much. It may take a few days to subside. You need to give Ondem (ondansetron) syrup to prevent vomiting from occurring. You can give it half an hour before food, twice or thrice a day, or as required. Irrespective of the cause all you need to give ORS from time to time, sip by sip. This will prevent dehydration from occurring. The hydration status will get reflected in the number of times the child is passing urine. If the child is passing urine normally, you have nothing to worry. But if the urine frequency comes down or the child becomes lethargic, you would need to take the child to a doctor without delay.
Hope that helps.

Glad to know that it helped.

We suggest restricting milk intake for a week. So, other than Dexolac 2 all the others are fine to be given. If the child is able to tolerate Dexolac 2 and does not have any problems, things are different.
