What Causes Vomiting Of Mucus Along With Chest Pain?

Question: My 7 year old daughter is vomiting mucus about 4-5 times a day. Complaining of pain in her chest before she vomits. This has been going on everyday for over a week. No other symptoms
Brief Answer:
Vomiting for a week Needs workup
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Vomiting is usually due to viral infection or food poisoning.
If so it should have settled in a week.
As your child is already suffering for a week do take her to a nearby health centre to rule out intra abdominal infections or urinary infections.
Antibiotics and probiotics may be required.
Ondansetron can be given before food to decrease vomiting.
Wishing your child good health.
