What Causes Vomiting Of White Foam By Child?

Question: Hi my son is 3 1/2 went to bed normal woke up today a bit groggy, then threw up a lot of foam vomit that was white. Have him pediasure and he vomited that in 2 min it was red pediasure but it came out red with white mucus... No fever no signs of pain... His eyes are also go in and out of focus as if he was sleepy but not. Should I take him to the ER? I'm worried.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. The symptoms you gave are suggesting an Epileptic(seizure) attack. Is there any family history of seizure? For children we take extra caution so i would suggest you to take him to ER and get him checked. They might perform an EEG to check brain activity. Do consult once with a neurologist as well as he is specialized in such diseases. Make sure that your child remains in right or left lateral position when on bed. Do not lie him in bed supine(straight) else it might result in aspiration of contents into lungs that may aggravate the problem.
