Discharges from the colon can be from several causes. It can occur if you have an infection but with this you would usually also have diarrhea.
It can occur if there is some inflammation going on in the colon as well such as you might have in Ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease, but again you would often have pain and other symptoms with this.
Other possibilities include a partial obstruction in the bowel, improper absorption in the bowel and a problem with the rectal sphincter not working properly.
You need to see your doctor and get an exam and some testing done to determine the cause in your particular case. If you have not had a colonoscopy you may need to have that test done.
