What Causes Watery Vaginal Discharge During Periods With Normal Ultrasound?
colposcopy advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
In general increased discharge is common just before and after periods.
But since you are experiencing it for the first time despite so many years of active menstruation you should get a colposcopy examination done.
Colposcopy is usually done in patients with irregular spotting or in those with abnormal pap smears but in today's world where our lifestyle has made us very prone to various cancers and other pathologies, active management of any symptom is of utmost importance.
So visit a good gynecologist and get colposcopy examination done and if normal then nothing to worry about further and just an yearly pap smear will do the job.
In case you have any questions, I will be glad to answer.

Microscope examination of cervix and vagina
Detailed Answer:
Colposcopy is a kind of special microscope which is used to see the magnified image of cervix and vagina and then a special XXXXXXX is applied over the tissues and again seen via colposcope.
There is no surgery or pain and resembles per vaginum examination only.
Only in few cases where there seems an abnormality in colposcopy, a guided biopsy us taken (which is slightly painful).
This biopsy if taken is sent for histopathological analysis and thoroughly examined for cancer and other important problem like viral and bacterial infections.
And thus if everything is normal it is very reassuring and can be then followed by Pap smear only.
All the best.
