What Causes Weakness In Left Arm In A Cancer Patient?
Question: I have a known history of GAD, OCD, Panic disorder since I was 7. I am now 40. Diagnosed with BC in 2010, underwent chemo, surgery and radiation (right breast).
I recently (two month) started feeling left arm weakness that happens only at night. I tend not to sleep on it, but still it feels weak and the weakness cause me anxiety and pain. Yet though I still can move my hand, no tingling, and no restriction in movement. I can make a strong grip, move it.
The weakness comes and goes and always happens at night. Very rare has it happened in morning.

Brief Answer:
Probably peripheral (nerve) problem.
Detailed Answer:
Dear,
I read your query and understand your concern.
It seems that the cause of your symptom might be pinched nerve.
It can be diagnosed by ENG which will find the damaged nerve and probably the cause of damage.
It happens mostly at night but can happen rarely during day.
As you suffered in the past BC, it is recommended that you schedule a brain CT scan.
Neurologic exam can distinguish the location of the problem (peripheral or central)
So my advice is to contact your neurologist first.
Discuss with him about my opinion (the most probable diagnose is pinched nerve)
Hope I had been of help
Best regards
