What Causes Weakness In Legs And Arms Post Treatment For Viral Infection?

Question: I had the flu about 3 weeks ago. Severe body aches for 2 days, fever, irritated throat and slight cough. My Dr prescribed Zithromax but my throat was still irritated after taking it. 2 weeks after having the flu I saw my Dr again complaining of a strange weakness in my forearms. This is week 4 and I am getting progressively worse. My throat was still irritated and was given Zithromax again. This time it seems to be helping but now my arms and legs have been feeling very weak.

I just read what GBS is. Should I go to a hospital?
Brief Answer:
Have a doctor examine you.
Detailed Answer:
Please go to the ER or to your doctor and have yourself examined for muscle weakness.
If you have objective muscle weakness, it would be better to go to the hospital.

Thank you. I will definitely call my Dr or go to the ER. Scary!
Brief Answer:
Welcome
Detailed Answer:
I hope it is not but with weakness it is to be excluded.
Even if it turns out to be GBS, good treatment is available now.
Wish you a quick recovery
