Brief Answer:
Needs detailed examination and some radiological workup

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all, it is sad to know what you had gone through.

Based on the history you have shared, it seems apparently to be a pulled muscle or muscle group at first but with feet swelling, that too on one side necessitates further evaluation to confirm any issue relating to blood flow or lymphatic drainage from that leg. That may need detailed examination by a physician first then if needed ultrasound with and without doppler of the swelling and to confirm any swollen glands in the groin. Blood workup like D-dimers, complete blood picture for white cell counts and lipid profile may be needed.

Though most probably, these will turn out to be normal but limb swelling shouldn't be ignored due to risk of venous thromboembolism and should be ruled out however painful swellings or mostly due to local causes or cellulitis.

Other causes of muscle weakness should also be looked into and supplements of vitamin B12, D3 and folic acid may also be needed.

Meanwhile using local or topical pain killers gels like diclofenac or ibuprofen may help and OTC analgesics like acetaminophen can be used for pain.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
