What Causes White Dots On The Forehead?
Question: Hi doctor, my son has white dots on his forehead. He is 4 months old.. it has appeared from the last 1 month.I have started using tedibar soap for the baby after this ( recommendation from a medical student) & Sebamed moisturizer.

I have reviewed the attached photograph and your baby seems to be having pityriasis versicolor which is a superficial fungal infection of the skin.
I would recommend you to apply topical antifungal like sertaconazole cream on the affected areas twice daily for 2-3 weeks.
This should resolve the infection but it is a prescription drug and should be used under the supervision of the doctor.

How long will it take for the spots to disappear if the above cream.is applied? What are the reasons for this infection?
