Brief Answer:
It looks like a fungal infection
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back XXXXXX,
It looks like a fungal infection. The diagnosis is confirmed by a Potassium Hydroxide (KOH ) preparation or examination under Wood's lamp.
The KOH preparation can be done in a lab or if possible you can see a GP or dermatologist who will do it for you. Also check your blood sugar to know whether you have diabetes.
Once the diagnosis is confirmed you require both medicines by mouth and cream to be applied locally.
Once the KOH smear is done, you can apply Canesten cream (1%) twice a day.
Let me know the results and any other medical condition you may have and I shall advise you regarding the oral medicine, as you know oral medicines can have adverse reaction and can interact with other medicines you may be taking.
