Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam,
Welcome to Health care magic
I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.
I reviewed history and the photo attached with the question.
The photo shows degenerative condition of the conjunctiva in the form of pinguecula or pterygium. It is a common benign condition seen mostly in people who are exposed to sunlight or dry dusty weather.
It will not cause any problem no need to worry.
If it increases in size it has to be removed by a simple surgical excision, otherwise it does not requires any treatment.
Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.
Thank you
With regards

Thank you for your quick response Dr. Dadapeer. I have noticed it has grown in size within the last month. I suffer from dry eyes and redness which I'm constantly having to put eyedrops in my eyes ( naphcon a) . Is surgery the only option or would I have the option of using a stronger type of eyedrop to help with the problem?
Brief Answer:
You need to use antiinflammatory eye drops.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.
Recurrent redness of the eye is because of inflammation of the pinguecula.
This requires treatment by antiinflammatory eye drops.
Usually I prefer to use antiinflammatory eye drops like flurbiprofen 3-4 times a day during inflammation episode.
Use of artificial tears provides symptomatic relief.
If the episodes are recurrent surgery offers permanent cure. Hence surgery is last but definitive mode of treatment.
Hope the information is helpful to you.
