Question: hello doctor,
my son is one month old and I noticed the bubbles near his genitals as shown in the picture.
The white colour cream that you can see in the picture is the cream I'm using to cover them. attached the picture of the same.
my question is basically, is this diaper rash? and am I using the right remedy. should I do anything else?

Brief Answer:
Milia

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and have checked the attached images. The white spots are called milia and are caused due to deposits of dead cells below the skin. They are normal in children upto 3 months of age and need no intervention. It is nothing to worry about.

It is not diaper rash. Just keep the are clean and dry. No creams required.

thx for your answer doctor. I just want to confirm that the white thing is the cream I have applied. the bubbly area is what I'm worried about, rather the red Rashy area. is that what you are talking about as well? should I stop putting the cream there?

Brief Answer:
Yes I know

Detailed Answer:
Yes, I have been talking about the bubbly thing and not the cream. Application of the cream is optional and would not do any good.
