What Causes White Spots On The Tonsils Despite A Negative STD Report?

Question: I have had white spots on my tonsils for 4 weeks now following unprotected oral sex. I have been to my primary care physician, an ENT and the emergency room. I tested negative for strep, mono, gonorrhea and chlamydia. I passed a kidney stone 3 days ago and was in the ER due to pain in my left side. Is it possible that the tonsillitis spread to my kidney? Or is it a coincidence that I am experiencing all of theses symptoms and problems?
Brief Answer:
Tonsillitis and kidney stones are less likely to be related
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
As you have tested negative for STD and strep. I feel tonsillitis may be viral in nature and requires only symptomatic treatment.
Kidney stones and tonsillitis are less likely to be related.
I advice you to go for salt water gargling 4 to 5 times a day. If you smoke, It is better if you try to quit smoking it can also be responsible for your symptom.
Avoid oily , fried food and cold drinks, ice cream for few days. Drink plenty of water especially warm water. Drink water will also be beneficial for kidney stones. You should be fine with this measures.
Hope this helps
Take care

Thank you for your response. Is it possible I have an std other than the ones that I listed. Should I have my primary care physician test me for anything additional? I am just paranoid. Is it normal for a viral infection to last 4 weeks?
Brief Answer:
Relax, based on the information I don't think you need to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome.
Good to hear from you.
Do not panic. As it has been examined by your health care provider and they would have asked for additional investigation if it was necessary. I don't think you need to worry much relax.
