What Causes Whitish Dry Patches Around Vaginal Area?

Question: Hi. I recently developed this whitish looking dry patches around my labia/vaginal area. The skin is slightly peeling and it does irritate me. Is this a yeast infection?

Thanks for the query to healthcare magic.
If there are white patches around the vagina and labia which presents with itching and scaling then it is likely to be fungal infection.
you should ideally visit your physician for a swab smear culture to isolate the fungus and confirm diagnosis and then you may be started on oral antifungals and for local application for a week.

hello,
you may take the following:-
1. TAB FLUCONAZOLE 150mg stat orally.
2. Ointment CLOTRIMAZOLE 1% thrice a day local application for 7 days.
Avoid moisture and keep the local area dry. Wear loose clothes.
3 . tAB CETRIZINE 5MG TWICE A DAY FOR 3 DAY to take care of itching involved.

If you have monistat handy with you , then you may take monistic tabs instead of fluconazole.
