What Causes Whitish Vaginal Discharge Post Protected Sex?
take canesten pessary
Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Welcome to HCM,
Thick creamy discharge suggests candida or fungal infection. It is not related to your period or the fact that you took the I pill.
These infection are common during times of stress, lowered immunity or if you have taken oral antibiotic or if diabetic.
You can just take a antifungal pessary overnight and it will decrease the discharge.
If the discharge persists even after taking the pessary then you need to get it check by a gynaecologist who will send a swab to identify the exact organism.
It would be wise to do a home pregnancy test exactly 3 weeks after taking after morning pill. Also please note that some times period can be preponed or postponed after use of emergency contraceptive pill.
Also, think of a long term method of contraception as repeated morning after pills is not advisable.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
