What Causes Whooshing Noise In Head With Dizziness?
I am being tested for MS (well they are testing for many things to rule out any other issues like lupus and whatnot). I have an MRI to be scheduled and a memory test to be done. My memory is shot, eyesight is getting worse, the left side of my body is less sensitive than the right. My left pinky is completely numb along with all of the toes on my left foot (right definitely has more feeling).
I had blood work done on the 20th. My B12 was high (on b12 vitamins for neuropathy). My folate was fine, my magnesium was fine. ANA Screen with Pattern negative. Lab Report: Lyme IgG and IgM Antibodies negative. Eryth. Sed Rate was high. No STD's. No pregnancy.
I forgot to mention to them the rush of adrenaline followed by heart palpitations when I lay down at night (not every night) and the weird noises in my head and dizziness when I move my head or stand up. (not a schitzo). I do have PTSD, controlled type 2 diabetes, pcos and hypothyroidism. All are medicated.
I have not reduced any medications and am wondering if it is the prazosin that is causing the noises or something else. I experienced these when going through withdrawal symptoms when a previous psych doctor over medicated me, but like I mentioned, my meds have not changed and I haven't missed a dosage.
Any ideas?
You need to consult Ear,Nose,Throat Surgeon
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
I can understand how much suffering you are with lots of problems and many medicines you are taking.
You are suffering from tinnitus and dizziness.Likely origin of this problem is from cochlear function disturbance(A prat of internal ear responsible for maintaining balance of the body).
Prazosin causes orthostatic hypotension and mostly in initials doses. You need to change your head and body posture gradually. Means if you are sleeping and want to wake up , first gradually seat in bed, wait for 2-3 minutes and then gradually stand up.
You are on losartan and spironolactone, they can cause cochlear disturbance sometime. If you can consult ENT surgeon(Otorhinologist), he can guide you that your problem is due to what and suggest for remedy also.
Hope I have answered your query,
