What Causes Yellow Discoloration In Palms, Feet While On Vitamin C Supplements?

Question: I have realised that my palms and feet for the past couple of days look yellow/orange at times (not always). I have been taking 2 tablets of vitamic C with my iron supplement (as my iron levels were extremely low- 6). I don't consume a lot of carrots and I have had my thyroid levels tested and they were normal. What could this be from?
I have had a full blood work recently and everything was fine except for my iron

Hi,
Thank you for query.
Yellow discoloration of skin occurs because of jaundice.
Jaundice occurs because of excessive amounts of bilirubin in blood.
Jaundice occurs in liver disease,Hypercarotenemia and lymphedema.
As per history, you don't consume carrots much and your thyroid levels are normal.
Just get liver function test done.
If your liver function test is normal, then you don't need to worry.
Drink plenty of fluids at least 4-5 liter per day,
Avoid fatty diet,alcohol,carbonated drinks,meat.
Take lot of vegetables and fruits especially kiwi and papaya.
Get back if any query.

Hi,
Thank you for follow up.
I saw the reports. You are reports are fine including liver function test,But your Potassium level is high and Sr.Iron is low.
Anemia and low serum iron can also lead to yellow discoloration of skin on and off.
As you are on Iron supplements, you can continue them.
Allay you fear regarding yellow discoloration.
You need to take K-bind sachets thrice daily for 1 week.
Avoid absolute intake of fruits, because they again increase your potassium level.
Repeat Serum electrolytes after one week(mandatory).
Get back if any query.
