What Causes Yellow Stool While On Oxycodone?
Question: I started taking oxycodone and now my stool is yellow is this normal with this drug or do I need to check my liver
Brief Answer:
Monitor only to see if it persists!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Yellow stool is not typical of oxycodone. In most cases, it is often an incidental and transient observation. Liver disease wouldn’t present with yellow stools unless in severe advanced liver disease.
Fo know, I will suggest that you monitor only. There is no need for aggressive and an all blown out approach.
I hope this guides and helps. Follow through with me and let me know what goes on exactly. If anything else like yellow eyes or skin sets in, keep me posted.

how would you know if it is advanced liver disease would I be hurting
Brief Answer:
There would be other symptoms as well.....
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Severe liver disease is often accompanied with fluid retention, yellowish eyes and skin, pain in the right side of the abdomen, swollen abdomen, etc. You don’t have any of these and the rather short duration makes this unlikely. My advise is that you totally stay calm and observe only.
I wish you well and feel free to keep the exchanges open if need be.
