Question: My question regards Hormones therapy replacement for me. Testosterone was given to me yesterday via IM. What should I expect into the near future? What changes should I see?

Good day,
Noted your concern. Testosterone can cause few changes in your body. It will improve sex drive and desire in next 2 months. Your hair growth etc might improve, and you will gain better strength with more muscle mass and less fat. It will also improve bone strength. One of the side effects you may observe is pain around your breasts.

At your age, i would expect some prostate growth with testosterone and i would advice to do a baseline Prostate check up ( PSA) and repeat this after 3-4 months. If you tend to snore, testosterone might worsen that ( few people). It may also increase your blood counts . Hence it is recommended to have a look at your haemoglobin and prostate levels after 3 months ( Hb and PSA tests).
