What Condition Do I Have. How Long Before Thrombocytosis Resolves

the iron deficiency probably
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
you have a slightly elevated platelet count. Iron deficiency (low ferritin) may cause such an elevation although most iron-deficient individuals do not have increased platelet count as well.
Increased platelet count can be caused by a variety of disorders - too many to be listed here. The rest of each patient's history is usually suggestive of the underlying cause. The obvious cause in your case is iron deficiency. If you have any kind of symptom or suggestive clues in your medical history then I'd like to know more. A recent gastrointestinal bleeding event or an autoimmune disorder, for example, could also cause an elevated platelet count.
The thrombocytosis may resolve as soon as the cause is treated. Continuing the iron supplementation is recommended for at least 3-4 months. If you continue to have high platelet counts despite a normal ferritin value, you should be investigated for other potential causes.
I hope I've answered your question. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Kind Regards,
