What Could Be Causing My Late Period, Prolonged Bleeding, Spotting, And Negative Pregnancy Tests After A Tubal Ligation?

Question: I had a tubal ligation 20 months ago. My period is approximately two weeks later. Last month my period lasted 13 days. I have had some random spotting. Pregnancey tests are coming back negative. Abdominal, and back pain, fatigue. What is going on?
Brief Answer:
It is normal to have some spotting after tubectomy
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Some problems with bleeding are expected for up to 1 month after tubectomy. Abdominal and back pain and fatigue could mean fluid in some peritoneal cavity or some infection. Further work-up is needed for this. Follow up with your gynecologist about it.
