Brief Answer:
Not much related to hip replacement therapy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I read your query and here is my advice.
I don't think that swelling is directly related to the hip or knee replacement surgery.
I believe it can be related to being on foot for long time without elevating them.
Also other health issues such heart issues may cause it.
Also not being able to do physical activity may contribute to it.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.

Hello,
I was thinking the same thing. My dad is currently renovating our garage and spends a lot of his time on his feet. When he told me about the swelling, he also told me that he thinks it could be because of his salt intake. Thank you for your help.

Brief Answer:
It can be from working all day on his feet.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
I believe he has been working all day on his feet ,especially in hot environment ,that can be the cause. Also if he is having hypertension it may be worse and in this case having a low salt diet can be helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
