
What Could Be Expected From A Hemogram-CBC And Electrolyte Tests For An Infant With Fever?

Question: Hello doctor,
My newborn baby boy who is now 35 days old was suffering from fever around 100 degree since yesterday.
We visited the hospital and the Pediatrician had suggested the following tests:
Haemogram
CPC
Electrolyte

All the reports are normal. Though CRP is slightly elevated above the normal range, you need not worry unless it is more than 6.
The electrolytes and the CBC is also normal.
As I had suggested yesterday, unless there are danger signs which I explained to you about, you need not worry.
