Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr,
Thanks for the query.
In old age, sometimes due to less eating, lack of appetite or less activities to induce hunger..many a times Diabetic pills need to be decreased. or even put on minimal dose as per need..&doctor's recommendations.
Her fasting 75&post meal 140 is perfectly normal..at this moment.(it is no fluctuation.Fasting sugar upto 75 to 120.,&post meal 140-160 is considered normal)provided it is maintained at the level for a weeks period.
Please keep both fasting&post meal blood sugar record at least for 5-7days &show it to her doctor for further instructions.
In case blood suger goes on dropping...urgent glucose water is indicated. In case she feels very weak, confused, shaky, fainting...she should be given glucose water (1-2 spoons with water)stat&doctor consulted.
Doctor would examin her,get some investigations done&get the medicine adjusted/changed as per need in hospital itself.
I hope that helps.Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
