Question: my mother who is 64 has suddenly developed a bluish green, (similar to colour of vein ) on her left hand, near the knuckles. what could be the reason for it

I would recommend certain blood investigations to rule out underlying cause such as Complete blood count, vitamin b12, calcium levels, RFT, LFT and urine routine examination. Usually a vitamin b12 deficiency could also cause such episodes.
