Question: I have a black eardrum and doctor said he has never seen this before. I want to know what can cause a black eardrum? I'm now spitting up some blood and is my ear bleeding causing the blood in my spitting up after coughing

The pain you feel it is most probably from it. It will need up to 6 weeks to heal by itself. If it doesn't heal then you need to see a local ear-nose-and throat specialist who can help you drain the blood behind the eardrum.
